County Adaptation Film Festival

Founded in 2024, The County Adaptation Film Festival (CAFF) is a project of the Regent Theatre which explores the art of adaptation on film, spotlights screenwriters and celebrates dialogue.

We aim to bring artists and audiences together in celebration of the screenwriters whose talents transform Barbie dolls into a global film phenomenon, books into big screen legends, and poems into cinematic dances. No one else in the world does it quite like us. We are platform, genre and release-date agnostic. Curated by artists for you.

In the last weekend of September,, we invite our audiences young and old to be curious about our film selections, to join our conversations and activities with artists and fellow audience members, to explore the sights and tastes of Prince Edward County and—even if only for two hours— to transform the way we all see the world.
